Welcome to our website! We’re Hayley and Jake, a soon-to-be married couple who have a passion for travel, learning and adventure.

Our journey began when we decided to quit our jobs and sell all of our belongings to travel the world with our furry companion, Finnley. We set out on a journey to live life on the road, and it’s been an incredible adventure so far!

We love sharing our experiences and stories with others, which is why we decided to create this website. Here, you can learn more about who we are, our van and our travels. Get to know us better by reading on!

Meet Hayley! Originally from Scotland, Hayley moved to Canada with her family at a young age and quickly fell in love with the country’s natural beauty. Growing up as a competitive swimmer, Hayley has always been drawn to water. Today she has a love for adventure and exploring different cultures.

After studying Chemical Engineering in university, she embarked on backpacking trips to destinations such as Nicaragua, Costa Rica, the Philippines, Thailand, and Indonesia, discovering new cultures and local cuisines along the way.

Hayley’s open-minded and free-spirited nature makes her the perfect travel companion, always eager to learn and experience all that the world has to offer.

Meet Jake, an adventure seeker who loves discovering new things and has an insatiable curiosity for fun facts. Born and raised in Vancouver, BC, Jake spent most of his childhood in the mountains, whether it be trail riding, mountain biking, or snowboarding.

He pursued a double major in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering in university, which has led him to a diverse career in designing everything from electric vehicles to waterslides. Jake’s skills have proven invaluable in designing and building our campervan.

When he’s not tinkering with the van, Jake loves to explore new places through their local cuisine and coffee shops.

Finnley is an adorable rescue pup who joined our family when he was just 4 months old. While we’re not entirely sure of his breed, we suspect he’s a mix of lab, border collie, and greyhound. Finnley is a playful and curious dog who loves to run, nap, and of course, snack. He’s a quick learner and always eager to show off his latest tricks.

Finnley’s favourite way to explore a new place is by going on a long walk and sniffing out all the best spots to get doggie treats. He’s also a big fan of car rides, as long as they end in a fun outing at a nearby dog park (or lately, the beach).
